Astrum Solar today announced that it has opened an office in Youngstown, Ohio.

Astrum Solar began selling solar systems in northeastern Ohio area in April to better service the region's growing customer base. Astrum Solar has installed hundreds of solar systems in 2010 and is on pace to complete over 500 new installations in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington D.C.

"Investments like this are a strong indication that our commitment to Ohio's advanced energy industry is creating an environment that supports the growth of companies like Astrum Solar to create new Ohio jobs."

The 25-person Youngstown office installs solar panel systems throughout Ohio in cities such as Cleveland, Akron and Columbus and in Western Pennsylvania. Astrum Solar is already one of the largest residential solar panel system installers in Pennsylvania and the Youngstown office will bolster Astrum Solar's ability to serve homeowners throughout the region from Toledo to Pittsburgh.
