This new sleep-easy insurance offers customers ten-year protection against output decreases stemming from components or configuration defects, degradation and the delamination of modules for example.Previously, customers were only able to assert claims for output decreases resulting from external influences, for example a lack of solar irradiation – the new Conergy insurance on the contrary covers any cause. No additional checks thanks to Conergy quality standards Any customer with a solar plant built or engineered by Conergy can benefit from the insurance – and this at a very reasonable price when compared to the industry as a whole. "The insurer is just as convinced by our many years of experience and our quality standards as we are ourselves. Costly additional system checks are therefore not necessary for plants planned and built by us – a fact that is clearly reflected in the price for the customer," says Conergy insurance expert Jörg Grigo. "Conergy stands for quality – this is underpinned by our detailed acceptance reports and exact output reports as well as by the outstanding complaints rate for our components." Simple, safe, comprehensive – Conergy insurance for genuine customer satisfaction With its new output insurance, Conergy focuses once again on the entire system concept and offers an additional component for a fully optimized system solution. It is suitable for all Conergy solar parks and system solutions. The insurance sets completely new standards in customer service. It will make solar energy investments even more simple and secure in future: Simple, as no costly risk assessment is necessary and the output insurance sum is derived from Conergy expert assessments. Secure, as the insurance refunds 90 percent of the performance over the entire fixed term of ten years in the event of a claim. Conergy sleep-easy insurance has been developed by the Hamburg company together with the world’s leading insurance broker AON and a renowned German insurer. The new comprehensive coverage rounds off Conergy’s previous insurance portfolio made up of the common all-risks and business interruption insurance. Grigo: "The customer is guaranteed 90% of outputs for half of the minimum lifetime" "This insurance offers new planning and output security for customers: The customer is guaranteed 90% of the output for half of the assumed minimum lifetime of a solar plant," says Grigo. "The insurer cannot terminate the insurance during these first ten years. Following this deadline, the insurance is automatically extended for one year at a time, but even then the insurance may only be cancelled by the insurer in extraordinary circumstances – this is a real breakthrough. This new investment security may make financing easier or improve terms." Two out of three solar plants with components made by Conergy All Conergy solar plants in Germany and other European countries will benefit from the new insurance. The German system manufacturer is focusing on quality there too: For its large projects throughout the world, Conergy is using more and more high-quality, in-house produced components. Two out of three large-scale solar parks built by the solar company are equipped with Conergy’s own high-quality products. Conergy PowerPlus Premium modules produced by Conergy in Frankfurt (Oder) are particularly popular with investors. Their share in Conergy solar plants has almost trebled since 2008. Overall, the system manufacturer was able to increase the proportion of its own components in large solar plants by 56 percent within one year – the focus on in-house produced components and Conergy system technology is really paying off for the first time. |
