SOLON SE and its Australian representative CBD Energy announce a new partnership with Bright Generation. Bright Generation, based at Murdoch University is focused on developing innovative products that make it possible to use solar energy more cost-effectively. The two companies have agreed that, SOLON will deliver SOLON Black 130/04 solar modules to Bright Generation. Bright Generation will integrate them into their newly developed combinational product, SolarCombi. Bright Generation’s SolarCombi combines photovoltaics and solar thermal power in the single streamlined system and is marketed to home owners in Australia. "We are pleased that we can expand our activities in this promising market through our partnership with Bright Generation," says Stefan Säuberlich, CEO of SOLON SE. "SOLON is a manufacturer of premium products and Bright Generation values excellent quality." "We are pleased to support Solon products in SolarCombi as we believe that Solon’s unprecedented quality is an excellent fit for our product," says Andrew Hall, CEO of Bright Generation. The SolarCombi is the first system that is optimally designed to maximize access to the various renewable energy schemes for subsidies in Australia. The Australian government’s target is to require a minimum of 20 percent of energy to come from renewable sources by 2020. To this end, it has developed a subsidy scheme for private households in August 2009 that will subsidize investments in smaller solar systems. The SolarCombi is an approach that helps consumers make a significant reduction in utility costs, amidst a rebate environment that encourages very small systems. Australia is a promising market to launch the SolarCombi due to its very high sunlight resources and particular incentive scheme that allow for significant capital rebates on both photovoltaic and thermal systems, plus feed in tariffs. In Australia, SOLON’s is represented by CBD Energy. The company is a diversified renewable energy and energy storage company providing integrated sustainable solutions for fossil fuel and CO2 emission reduction. CBD has offices in Melbourne and Sydney. CBD Energy Limited is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and is headquartered in Sydney. |
